Senior Security Control Assessor / Analyst

Overview

ITDC is seeking a Senior Security Control Assessor / Analy to Conduct independent security and privacy control assessments for federal systems, evaluate control evidence, document findings, and support risk-based authorization decisions while maintaining assessment independence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute control assessment plans using NIST SP 800-53A procedures.
  • Assess technical, management, operational, privacy, and inherited controls for federal systems.
  • Prepare assessment results, findings, recommendations, SAR inputs, and risk summaries.
  • Support reassessment after remediation and verify POA&M closure evidence.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years cybersecurity experience.
  • 5+ years specialized experience with classified/unclassified programs, National Security Systems, or federal control assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and control evidence assessment.
  • Bachelor degree and at least one of: CISSP, CAP/CGRC, CISA, or CRISC.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining separation of duties between ATO artifact preparation and independent assessment.
  • Experience with JCAM, CSAM, Xacta, eMASS, or similar federal assessment tools.
